01How much does it cost to hire a freelance frontend or full-stack engineer?+
Fixed packages here run $1,200-$4,000 depending on scope: Next.js / frontend performance engagement from $2,500, Frontend architecture engagement from $4,000, Google Business Profile engagement from $1,200. For work outside those three (a website build, a redesign, in-house software, or ongoing capacity), I quote hourly at $25–57/hr or as a custom fixed price once we've scoped it.
02I have a specific budget - can you work within it?+
Yes. Tell me your budget and goal on the contact form and I'll tell you honestly what fits inside it - a smaller fixed scope, a phased plan, or an hourly engagement you control. If a fixed package here already covers it, I'll say so directly instead of upselling a bigger scope.
03Do you build in-house software or internal tools within one of these packages?+
Not as one of the three fixed packages - custom business software (ops portals, internal tools, dashboards) is scoped and quoted separately since it varies too much for a flat price. See the custom business software page for what that looks like, then use the contact form with your budget for a fixed quote.
04Can you build a new website or redesign an existing one?+
Yes. A full site build or redesign is not one of the three fixed packages below (those are performance, architecture, and Google Business Profile), but it is exactly the kind of work the "need something custom" quote covers - share your budget and current site (if any) and I will scope a fixed price or milestone plan.
05Why pay a 50% deposit instead of the full amount, or instead of hourly?+
A 50% deposit means you are never paying the full project fee to someone you have not worked with yet, and I am not starting scoped work on a handshake. The remainder is invoiced once the work is ready to hand over - not charged today. It also gives you a fixed number to budget against instead of an open-ended hourly clock.
06What happens if my project is bigger than these three packages?+
Larger builds, retainers, and full product scopes still start with a conversation, not a card charge. We agree milestones and deposits that fit the size of the work, so a $20,000 build is not paid the same way as a $1,200 one.
07Are these prices negotiable, or is there a cheaper option?+
The listed prices reflect the fixed scope in each package. If your budget is smaller, the honest lower-cost entry point is hourly at $25–57/hr for a smaller slice of work, rather than discounting a fixed package below what the scope takes.
